TOWN OF CORNWALL – One
person was killed and two were injured in a one-car accident on Pleasant
Hill Road in the Town of Cornwall.
Town Police said the vehicle, a 2004 Volkswagen, was located around 3:52
a.m. overturned in a wooded area.
A male passenger, identified as Mihaly Kvacska, 37, of Cornwall, was found
ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was extricated by the Cornwall Fire Department and flown to
Westchester Medical Center. A second passenger was treated by the Cornwall
Volunteer Ambulance Corps and transported to St. Luke’s Cornwall
Hospital. The names of both injured victims were not released.
Cornwall Town Police were assisted at the scene by State Police, the Orange
County District Attorney’s Office, Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson
Police, and Cornwall Fire Department.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
