Poptanich and the Lottery’s Yolanda Vega
FORT MONTGOMERY – Robin Poptanich of Middletown is set for the rest of his life. He played the New York Lottery’s $10,000 a Week for Life scratch-off game and won!
He was at the Fort Montgomery Food Mart on Route 9W on Thursday. That’s where he purchased the ticket.
After required withholdings, he will take home $344,136 per year for the rest of his life.
Poptanich, 63, services medical equipment for a living and arrived early for a service job on that day. He stopped off at the store and bought two tickets, scratching them off one at a time while back in his car.
“My initial plans are to take care of my family and buy a new house,” he said. “I already made plans to retire. After that we’ll travel and just enjoy life.”
