DOVER PLAINS – Three Town of Dover residents were arrested following a residential burglary on Cooperstown Road in Dover.
Charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, both as felonies, were James Moore, 25, Dwayne Robbins, 25, and Kelsey Vincent, 23, all of Dover.
A neighbor called 911 on the morning of February 20 to report a possible burglary in progress with people entering a residence, removing items and placing them in a vehicle.  As state troopers were en route to the call, they observed a vehicle matching the description on Dover Furnace Road. The three occupants were known to the officers and were subsequently stopped.
During further investigation, it was revealed the suspects had salvaged the proceeds from the burglary at Southeast Auto Recycling where they were taken into custody. While there, it was determined the vehicle they were in had a forged 2017 inspection stick, switched license plates, no insurance, and that Vincent was operating with a suspended New York driver’s license.
