Man with several driver’s license suspensions charged with heroin possession

PORT JERVIS – Port Jervis Police arrested a Middletown man while driving on East Main Street for a traffic violation and wound up charging him with operating a motor vehicle while having several driver’s license suspensions.
Tyheim Jackson, 30, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a search of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of 33 bags of heroin and a quantity of crack cocaine.    He was later charged with felony drug possession and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.
A passenger in his car, Ashley McDonnell, 27, of Port Jervis, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession for having a small amount of heroin. She was committed in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
