WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury indicted a Bronx man on charges of murder, attempted murder and assault in connection with the shootings at “The Mansion” nightclub in Mount Vernon where a Christmas party was being held.
Errol Hillary, 40, was charged with opening fire and killing O’Neil Bandoo early Christmas morning and wounding five other men.
It is alleged that Hillary entered the club at about 2:50 a.m., became agitated and began to cause a disturbance. When security asked him to leave, he began to fight with two members of the security team, who attempted to drag him to the front door. Bandoo, the owner of the club, was standing outside with another man, a friend of Hillary’s, when they heard the commotion. They went inside and asked Hillary to leave and that is when he pulled out a 9 mm gun and began shooting, killing Bandoo and seriously wounding five others.
Hillary attempted to run away, but was tackled outside the club
If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison on the murder charge and 25 years on each of the attempted murder and assault charges.
