PEARL RIVER – Rockland Community College expects to open its Innovation Center at the Pfizer industrial complex in Pearl River next month.
The facility will be a combination technology incubator, Start-Up NY campus, Super 3D Printing SMARTT lab and a Business Innovation Mall with a group information desk.
Innovation Center Executive Director Dr. Kristopher Baker said the incubator will be available for businesses in the technology sector.
“We are going to be opening up the space to folks, early stage, incorporated, new technology and pretty much any technology sector, so it could be life sciences, it could be protein sciences, it could be battery manufacturing, it could be environmental testing, it could be data mining, it could be almost anything in the tech center,” Baker said.
Partners in the Innovation Center include RCC, Stony Brook University, Columbia University, the Small Business Development Center and the SUNY Research Foundation.
