TUXEDO – A car driver and 14 others were injured following a crash between a car and a ShortLine bus on Route 17 just south of Route 17A in Tuxedo.
A total of 13 people were reported injured and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
Killed in the crash was Tyrone Jackson, 20, a former resident of Sloatsburg, according to police. His car skidded on ice and snow into the path of the bus, they said.
Route 17 in the area was shut down in both directions – north and south – while an accident reconstruction team conducts its investigation.
Tuxedo Police handled the incident with assistance from the State Police.
