Traffic stop leads to heroin, cocaine arrests

TOWN OF LLOYD – Two men were arrested on felony drug charges following a traffic stop by Lloyd Town Police.
Sean Powell, 49, was pulled over while driving on Route 9W in Highland on Friday, February 3 and investigation resulted in the discovery of over 65 bags of heroin and cocaine.
Powell was charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of drugs as well as criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.  He was sent to the Ulster County jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond pending a future court appearance.
Also arrested was Norman Fuller, 59, of Boiceville, a passenger in Powell’s vehicle.  He was charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers found him in possession of 36 bags of heroin.  He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
