GREENBURGH – A Valley
Cottage man jumped to his death from the Tappan Zee Bridge late Saturday
night, State Police said Tuesday.
Troopers said Kenan Ozdemir, 53, jumped into the Hudson River at around
10:08 p.m., prior to their arrival.
The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and the Westchester County
Police Department dispatched marine units to search the river for the
victim.
About an hour later, his body was recovered by the Westchester County
Police.
Ozdemir was transported to Westchester Medical center where he was pronounced
dead by the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
