Man dies after being found unresponsive in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS – A man, who was found unresponsive near the railroad turntable in the City of Port Jervis late Sunday morning, was pronounced dead at Bon Secours Community Hospital.
The man, who police did not identify, was being administered chest compressions and CPR by civilians until police officers arrived. The officers continued to perform CPR and used an AED.  He was transported to the hospital by Port Jervis EMS where he later died, said Police Chief William Worden.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.
