MOUNT PLEASANT – A White Plains man was arrested following a two-car crash in the northbound Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant.
State Police from the Cortlandt barracks reported that Sawyer White, 22, of White Plains was southbound in the northbound lanes and struck a car driven by Michael Ioannidis, 62, of Poughkeepsie, head-on.
White was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash at 8:40 p.m. on January 11.
Ioannidis was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. White was also transported to Westchester Med for evaluation and released.
White supplied a breath sample that yielded a blood-alcohol content of .27 percent, more than three times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding and several other vehicle and traffic offenses. He is due in Town of Mount Pleasant Court later this week.
