Kingston man charged with sexual abuse of teen

KINGSTON – A Kingston man was arrested by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center on charges that he sexually abused a 14-year-girl in the City of Kingston. An investigation revealed that Herbert Brown, 43, allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with the victim on at least one occasion.
Brown was charged on January 6 with sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, all as misdemeanors.  He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
The Family and Child Advocacy Center was assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
The Family and Child Advocacy Center is comprised of members of the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Sheriff’s Office, State Police and Ulster County Child Protective services.
