PORT JERVIS – A Port Jervis couple were arrested following execution of a no-knock search warrant at an apartment at 29 Culvert Street in Port Jervis. The arrests were part of the city police department’s ongoing investigation into sales of heroin and controlled substances.
Detectives arrested Lance Conklin, 29, and Jennifer Menzynski, 28, both residents of the targeted apartment. They were charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance after police seized 52 bags of heroin and an undisclosed amount of cash. Police allege the pair possessed the heroin with intent to sell it.
Conklin is under parole supervision with the state Division of Parole until December 2019 for a February 2016 conviction in Orange County Court for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were sent to the Orange County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 for Conklin and $10,000 for Menzynski.
Port Jervis Police and State Police investigated the case.
