PORT JERVIS – Police in the City of Port Jervis have been cracking down more and more on drug dealers in recent months and that major effort will continue, Police Chief William Worden says.
Recent drug busts, in conjunction with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and State Police have pointed up that fact, noted the chief.
“We have been working very hard with our community to enhance our efforts to proactively combat the increasing tide of heroin addiction and heroin sales in our community, working very hard with Operation PJ Pride, our neighborhood watches through enforcement, education, our treatment community,” the chief said.
Port Jervis Police have had over 20 Narcan saves in recent months, Worden said.
