Two arrested in Port Jervis for possessing 52 bags of heroin

PORT JERVIS – A Port Jervis
couple has been arrested following execution of a no-knock search warrant
at an apartment at 29 Culvert Street in Port Jervis. The arrests were
part of the city police department’s ongoing investigation into
sales of heroin and controlled substances.

Detectives arrested Lance Conklin, 29, and Jennifer Menzynski, 28, both
residents of the targeted apartment. They were charged with felony criminal
possession of a controlled substance after police seized 52 bags of heroin
and an undisclosed amount of cash. Police allege the pair possessed the
heroin with intent to sell it.

Conklin is under parole supervision with the state Division of Parole
until December 2019 for a February 2016 conviction in Orange County Court
for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The couple was remanded to the Orange County Jail with Conklin committed
on $50,000 cash bail and Menzynski remanded on $10,000 cash bail.
Port Jervis Police and State Police investigated the case.
