POUGHKEEPSIE – A STOP-DWI
task force of law enforcement in Dutchess County made 58 arrests during
the holiday crackdown period of December 16, 2016 through January 2, 2017.
All but one of the arrests were for impaired driving.
Those arrested include residents from Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Columbia and Putnam counties on charges of DWI or driving while ability impaired.
Participating police agencies included the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, State Police, town police in Hyde Park and East Fishkill, Village police in Red Hook and Millerton and City of Poughkeepsie Police.
Funding was provided by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee and the New York State STOP-DWI Foundation.
