High Falls man, with knife, charged with menacing

MARBLETOWN – A High Falls man was arrested and charged with menacing a woman at a residence in the Town of Marbletown.
An Ulster County Sheriff’s deputy was asked to check the welfare of a woman at that address. Deputies responded to the scene at 4:49 p.m. on December 30, 2016 and determined that an incident between William Williams, 58, and a female victim had occurred.
Investigation revealed that Williams menaced the victim while armed with
a knife and beer bottle.  He allegedly stole an electronic device
from the woman and damaged another device she owned.
Williams was arrested, charged with grand larceny, criminal mischief, two counts of menacing and harassment.  He was sent the Ulster County Jail without bail.
