SAUGERTIES – A 44-year-old
Saugerties woman has been charged with criminal mischief as a felony for
intentionally driving her vehicle into another person’s vehicle,
causing extensive damage to the victim’s car.
Saugerties Police were called to Second Street in the Village of Saugerties
on Friday, December 30 and when they arrived, they witnessed the suspect,
identified as Lauren Arastiqueti, intentionally ram the complainant’s
car.
Arastiqueti was also issued traffic tickets for failure to wear a seatbelt
and failure to keep right.
She was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500
cash bail. The court also issued an order of protection to the complainant.
