RAMAPO – Three teens were arrested on Wednesday following a day-long investigation into the burglary of the Great Chestnut Deli and Grocery at 6 Red School House Road in Chestnut Ridge.
The suspects allegedly pried open the rear door and stole items from the store. Ramapo Police and Rockland County BCI investigated at the scene. Security video from the deli showed three men pried open the rear door and stole merchandise.
During the investigation, Ramapo Police were contacted by Spring Valley Police, who advised them they had stopped three men in possession of a stolen vehicle, which had been reported taken to Ramapo Police on December 24.
The three men were arrested by Spring Valley Police. It was later determined two of them had been involved in the deli break in. The investigation continued throughout the day when a third suspect was identified.
Wilfred Eliazer Mejia-Lemus and Otto Emanuel Aguitte-Lemus, both 18, and David Coronado, 17, were sent to the Rockland County Jail.
