Tow truck driver struck and killed on I-95

Tow truck operator was pulling this disabled car on his flatbed
when he was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver

MAMARONECK – A tow truck driver, who was out of his vehicle tending
to a disabled car, was struck by a hit-and-run driver this morning and
later died.

State Police said the accident occurred just before 7 a.m. on I-95, the
New England Section near exit 18B – White Plains-Mamaroneck Avenue,
in Mamaroneck.

The tow truck driver, identified as Salvatore Brescia, 32, of Yonkers,
working for Vincent’s Towing, was transported to Greenwich, CT hospital
where he died from his injuries, troopers said.

The accident is being reconstructed by the State Police Collision Reconstruction
Unit.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the State

up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the
