Petsas (file): “extremely
enjoyable”

POUGHKEEPSIE – Chairing the Poughkeepsie Common Council can be a challenging, at times contentious, task.  Christopher Petsas says after two years, he is ready to let someone else do it.
He made the announcement during Monday night’s final council session of the year.
“This will be my final year as chairman of this council,” the Petsas said.  “I have decided to go back into the regular councilman role.  I think that new blood and new leadership is important for any legislative body.  We have a lot of new faces on this council.  Half of us are new here.  They have new ideas and new energy.”
Petsas said he has “extremely enjoyed” his time as chairman.
