Missing Goshen woman found dead

VILLAGE OF GOSHEN – A missing Goshen woman was found dead in Erie Street Park in the Village of Goshen on Sunday morning.
Police said Elaine Carter, 56, of 122 Murray Avenue was found by a patrol
at 10:21 a.ml. Her body was partially covered in snow.
Investigation by the Goshen Village Police Department with assistance from State Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office concluded there was no criminal activity involved in her death.
The death appears to be from natural causes, but further examination will be conducted by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
