MONTICELLO – A Roscoe man was sentenced to 10 years in state prison and six years of post-release supervision for the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old child.
Tinker Cuttler, 39, entered a guilty place to charges of rape and sexual abuse, both as felonies, for offenses against the victim.
Sullivan County Court Judge Michael McGuire sentenced Cuttler to five years in state prison on each charge with sentences to run consecutively for a total of 10 years. He was also sentenced to six years of post-release supervision.
Cuttler was arrested after an investigation by the Sullivan County Family Violence Response Team comprised of Department of Family Services caseworkers, State Police, the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office and a consulting physician from Westchester Medical Center.
“This defendant will not be able to harm another child for the next decade that he will be spending in a state prison,” said DA James Farrell.
Cuttler was also ordered to stay away from the victim and must register as a sex offender under state law.
