Woman charged with slashing man in domestic dispute

WAPPINGER – A Wappinger woman is in the Dutchess County Jail in Lieu of $3,000 cash bail following a domestic incident that resulted in the victim being cut on his forearm with a kitchen knife.
State Police were called to a Wappinger residence Saturday afternoon and found that Tajanae Kingwood, 20, of Wappinger had cut the victim following a verbal dispute. He drove to a medical facility where he received sutures for his wound.
Kingwood was charged with felonies of assault and aggravated criminal contempt and a misdemeanor of criminal possession of a weapon. The criminal contempt charge stemmed from her violation of an active court order of protection by having physical contact with the victim.
