Hudson man charged with drug and weapon possession

CATSKILL – A 22-year-old Hudson man was arrested following a traffic
stop on Route 23 in the Village of Catskill where it was determined he
possessed drugs and a loaded gun.

State Police pulled over a vehicle driven by Shyquan Miller and when a
trooper smelled marijuana and asked Miller to get out of the car, he fled
on foot and discarded evidence. He was taken into custody after a brief
pursuit and struggle resulting in minor injuries to the office.
Miller was found in possession of heroin and marijuana and a .380 caliber
handgun inside his car.

He was charged with assault, tampering with physical evidence, resisting
arrest, obstructi9ng governmental administration, criminal possession
of drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Miller was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash
bail or $100,000 bond.
