GRAHAMSVILLE – A reported alleged attempted child abduction in the
Town of Fallsburg resulted in the Tri-Valley Central School District implementing
a lockout of the campus buildings on Tuesday morning, Superintendent Dr.
Thomas Palmer said in an online letter to parents and the school community.
He said the school district was notified that there was an alleged child
abduction at a bus stop in the Tri-Valley school district.

“Even though it didn’t happen on our campus, our schools were
on lockout while the police conducted their investigation into the alleged
abduction attempt,” Palmer said. “The police department indicated
that a lockout was no longer necessary as they have concluded their investigation
and found the abduction did not occur.”
