LIBERTY – Sullivan Renaissance is again making grants available to towns and villages in Sullivan County through its Municipal Partnership Grant Program. The program is designed to engage local governments in addressing issues related to beautification of public spaces, enhancing code enforcement and encouraging healthy communities.
A limited number of municipalities will be selected to receive initial grants of $15,000 each, which must be matched with at least $10,000 in cash or in-kind services from the winning municipalities.  Participants will also vie for a $100,000 grant secured by State Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther.
Six communities participated in the program in 2016 – Bethel, Fallsburg, Thompson, the Village of Monticello and the Town and Village of Liberty. Earlier this year the Town of Bethel won the top prize of $100,000.
Interested municipalities have until December 2 (this Friday) to submit an expression of interest form.
