WARWICK – A house at 91
Walling Road in the Town of Warwick blew up late Tuesday afternoon and
investigators are searching for the cause.

The one female occupant who was inside at the time was able to escape
with only minor injuries, Orange County Fire Coordinator Vini Tankasali
told Mid-Hudson News.

Several area fire departments were called in to fight the three-alarm
blaze, which causes heavy damage to the single-family home, he said.

There was an initial report that someone might be trapped in the building,
but a fire department radio transmission reported no one in the structure.

The individual who initially reported the fire was inside when she called
911. She later told fire officials that she fell through a ceiling and
was able to crawl out of the house.

The Red Cross was called in to provide assistance to the family.
