POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County officials and business leaders encourage residents and visitors to take part in Small Business Saturday in Dutchess County on November 26th. Small Business Saturday is a national event held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The movement is dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help give our neighborhoods character. The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with American Express to highlight local businesses in our community.
“Through the efforts of the Th!nk Dutchess Alliance for Business, we aim to support local businesses and jobs in Dutchess County, and purchases made on Small Business Saturday and throughout the year help to advance these efforts,” said County Executive Marc Molinaro.  “The holiday season is the perfect chance to explore our local main streets from Beacon to Rhinebeck and Millbrook to Wappingers Falls. Support local businesses and find gifts that are ‘Distinctly Dutchess.’ Throughout the holiday season and all year long, let’s do our part to ‘Shop Small’, ‘Think Local,’ and ‘Think Dutchess’.”
“The Chamber is proud to support the ‘Shop Small’ efforts throughout our region on Small Business Saturday,” said Frank Castella Jr., President and CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We work to reinforce the Think Local First message throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season. Make sure you keep those dollars here in Dutchess County and help support a hard-working local business.”
