POUGHKEEPSIE – members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit conducted an operation in the area of Smith Street and Harrison Street resulting in the felony arrest of a suspected narcotics dealer. This operation was part of an investigation regarding narcotics distribution in that area, based upon several complaints from community members.
As a result of this operation, officers recovered approximately 4.1 grams of cocaine and Anthony Jackson, 49, of 20 High Street, apartment 1, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a felony. Jackson was sent to the Dutchess County Jail.
