GOSHEN – Orange County
Executive Steven Neuhaus’ parents immigrated to the United States
from Germany in the 1950s, making Neuhaus a first-generation American
in his family. So, it was fitting for him to deliver the keynote address
at Thursday’s naturalization ceremony in Goshen.
He told the 86 new citizens they are part of the future of America.
“They will now have the opportunity to make changes and continue to make this country grow and continue to be the best country in the world,” Neuhaus said.
The new citizens came from 45 countries around the globe.
