WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was sentenced in Westchester County court on Tuesday to one to three years in state prison after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Gabriel Young, 26, along with Omar Hidalgo, were found in possession
of fake driver’s license and credit cards – over 80 of them
– that were used to purchase a variety of items from food, to high
dollar value gift cards, cell phones and a lap top.
Police also conducted a warrant search of the computer and found several credit card “dumps” representing hundreds, possibly thousands of stolen credit cards purchased on the dark web.
Young was sentenced on Tuesday. Hildago, who pled guilty to a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument, will be sentenced at the end of the month.
