Greene County man charged with possessingillegal gun

CATSKILL – An Earlton man was arrested Tuesday on charge of felony gun possession.
State Police said Robert Twiss, 58, was arrested as the result of an indictment by a Greene County grand jury accusing him of possessing a firearm while having a previous felony conviction.  The federal charge alleges that he possessed a rifle at his residence.
Twiss is in the county jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.  If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in federal prison, up to a $250,000 fine and supervised release of up to three years.
