WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was arraigned on Monday on a manslaughter
charge in connection with the stabbing death of another man on September
12 while near 5 South Broadway in Yonkers.

Joseph Graham, 36, was also charged with felony criminal possession of
a weapon in the murder of Clarence Vanhook.

The two men were engaged in a physical confrontation when Graham stabbed
Vanhook in the chest with a large knife, striking his heart, prosecutors
allege.

The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he was
pronounced dead a short time later.

Shortly after the attack, Graham was spotted walking in North Broadway
where police nabbed him.

He remains in the Westchester County Jail pending his next court appearance.

If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in state prison.
