Three county budgets to be unveiled

MID-HUDSON – County executives in three Hudson Valley counties will present their proposed 2017 budgets today (Friday). October 1 is the deadline for them to present their proposed spending plans.
Ulster County Executive Michael Hein, Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus and Rockland County Executive Edwin Day will each lay out their budgets for next year. Each county legislature will then have several weeks to examine the proposals and either modify or accept them as is.
Each county executive has indicated they will present budgets that meet all of the county needs, but hold the line on spending.
