RHINEBECK – Former state
senator Terry Gipson, who is trying to retake his seat from the woman
who defeated him two years ago, has captured a fourth line on the November
ballot.
In an opportunity to ballot primary, Gipson was declared the winner of the Green Party line.
“We are just very happy to lead the way in helping get PCBs out of the Hudson River, helping hold oil companies accountable to the pollution that they continue to subject us to, keeping the oil barges from docking in the Hudson River, keeping oil trains from traveling down the Hudson River, and leading the way in green policies throughout the state and hopefully throughout the country,” he said.
Gipson will also appear on the Democratic, Working Families and Women’s Equality lines.
Tis will be a rematch with Republican incumbent Susan Serino of Hyde Park, who will also be on the Conservative line.
