Another shooting in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – A 34-year old Newburgh man is the latest victim of gun
violence in the city. Police said the man, whose name they did not make
public, was shot once in the back. He was found around 2 a.m. on Sunday
in the area of 50 Front Street, the scene of a number of late night violent
incidents in recent weeks.

He was transported to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital where his wound
did not appear to be life threatening, police said.

Detectives are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information
to call Newburgh City Police at 845-561-3131.
