TOWN OF CATSKILL – Scenic Hudson and the Greene Land Trust have
joined together to protect 149 scenic and historic acres along Catskill
Creek. The arrangement will offer outdoor recreation and help the community
mitigate flooding.

The Greene Land Trust will manage the land acquired as part of Scenic
Hudson’s campaign to Save the Land That Matters Most.

The property, just upstream from the Village of Catskill, includes over
two miles of shoreline on Catskill Creek, a Hudson River tributary.

Scenic Hudson acquired 144 of the acres. A neighboring landowner donated
a conservation easement on five adjacent acres to the Greene Land Trust.

Plans for the property include developing marked walking paths that will
connect visitors to the meadow and the creek’s shoreline.
