West Point on lockdown following report of bombing suspect inside

WEST POINT – The US Military Academy at West Point was on lockdown
this morning after a motorist called State Police to say he spotted a
driver who could be the suspect wanted in Saturday’s Manhattan bomb
explosion enter the facility this morning.

State Police reportedly found the vehicle and cleared the scene after
conducting a search of the massive complex.

Police in New York City released the name and photo of the man they are
looking for as a possible suspect. He is Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, a US citizen
born in Afghanistan. He was reported driving a 2003 blue Honda Civic with
a New Jersey license plate: D63EYB.

In the Chelsea explosion on Saturday, over two dozen people were wounded.

Also on Saturday, a bomb exploded before a charity 5K race in Seaside
Park, New Jersey. No one was injured and authorities are working to determine
if the incidents in both locations were connected.

Pipe bombs were also found in Elizabeth, New Jersey with one exploding.
