TOWN OF WALLKILL – A one-year-old boy was killed Monday afternoon
as he played with a ball in the parking lot of his father, Joshua’s
auto body shop and a customer backed over him.

The accident at 420 Highland Avenue Extension in the Town of Wallkill
claimed the life of Joshua Gutierrez, according to family members, who
had emigrated from Mexico.
The boy’s uncle, who also works at the shop, said the tot came with
his mother to pick up his father from work. The child was outside the
car playing with a ball when a customer, who did not see him, backed up
his car killing the child.
