CATSKILL – State Police arrested an Amsterdam man on charges of strangulation and assault as felonies and a misdemeanor of criminal obstruction of breathing.
Joseph Gallogly, 33, was arrested by State Police at Catskill and sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail or $300,000 bond.
Gallogly’s arrest stemmed from an investigation into a November 2015 attack on a woman who sustained injuries in the Village of Coxsackie. The victim was treated for serious injuries at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
State Police were assisted by the Greene County District Attorney’s Office and City of Albany Police.
