KINGSTON – A Saugerties man has been arrested and charged with
being involved in a two-year course of sexual conduct with a 14-year-old
child in the Village of Saugerties.
The Ulster County District Attorney’s Office Family and Child Advocacy
Center investigated the case that led to the arrest of Jeffery Brown.
He was charged with course of sexual conduct of a child as a felony and
was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The investigation
is continuing and authorities said additional charges may be filed.
The DA’s Office Family and Child Advocacy Center, comprised of investigators
from the DA’s Office, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and State
Police, was assisted by Town of Saugerties Police.
