KINGSTON – A 43-year-old Glenford man pled guilty to falsely reporting
an incident as a felony. The charge stemmed from a May 6 incident in which
Kristofer Surdis, 43, phoned a bomb threat into the Hannaford Supermarket
in the Kingston Plaza.

Police searched the store but did not find a bomb.

An investigation determined that Surdis had made the threat while an inmate
at the jail on an unrelated charge.

Surdis, who has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1989, continues
to be held in jail without bail.

Sentencing is scheduled for late September.
