Victim of Newburgh shooting was Beacon man

NEWBURGH – City Police in Newburgh continue to investigate a shooting on Tuesday afternoon in which a 28-year-old Beacon man was wounded three times.
Beacon Police Chief Douglas Solomon said they are investigating to determine
if the Newburgh shooting was connected to the homicide in that city on
Monday night.
The incident at 2:15 p.m. occurred in the area of Grand and Catherine streets, although the victim, Joel Ladson, was located near South and Montgomery streets after he ran from the scene.  He was treated at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s Newburgh campus. His wounds were not life threatening, police said.
At the time of the incident, police issued a radio call for three men in an SUV believed to have been involved in the incident.
