Two women arrested for smuggling drugs into state prison in their underwear

ELLENVILLE – State Police have arrested two women on felony charges
of promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled
substance for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into the Ulster Correctional
Facility in Napanoch.

The investigation found that Jennifer Rodriguez, 24, of New York City,
and Natalie Ozuna, 18, of New Haven, CT went to the prison on July 31
to visit two inmates and smuggle controlled substances inside by hiding
drugs in their underwear.

Once the women entered the prison, they were intercepted and after further
investigation, were found in possession of a quantity of suboxone.
Rodriguez and Ozuna were remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of
$5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
