WHITE PLAINS – Two men pled guilty in Westchester County Court in connection with the shooting death of a man, who was standing outside his loaner car in a Burger King parking lot on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers.
The murder of Michael Nolan was in retaliation to a beating of a man known to the suspects over an incident during drag racing two nights before the shooting.
Nolan was struck by gunfire when a car pulled up next to him at about 12:40 a.m. on September 18, 2015 and six shots rang out from the back driver’s side window. One struck him in the head. Nolan remained in a coma in Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx until he was declared dead on October 9, 2015.
Nashaun Hunter, 17, of the Bronx pled guilty to manslaughter. Darren Dawson, 19, and Tejmitra Singh, 23, both of the Bronx, both pled guilty to assault.
A fourth codefendant, Garth O’Neil Cole, 23, of Mount Vernon, is charged with assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
All four men remain incarcerated in the Westchester County Jail.
