Rockland man charged with attempted murder following assault on transgender man

SPRING VALLEY – A Spring Valley man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following an attack on a 25-year-old transgender Spring Valley man. The attack occurred in a house at 3 East Church Street in the village at about 5:40 a.m. on Monday, July 2.
The victim suffered several stab wounds to his chest and neck and was admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Investigation led to the arrest of Eddy Perez-Zenteno, 31, of 52 South Madison Avenue in Spring Valley. He was charged with attempted murder and assault, both felonies.  He remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
