Fatal fire victim succumbed to smoke inhalation, authorities say

CONNELLY – The man killed in a house fire in Ulster County on Monday
morning was identified as 72-year-old Arthur Tune.

Firefighters in Connelly were called to the house on Second Street just
before 2:30 a.m.

Tune’s body was recovered from the house once the flames were extinguished.

The cause of death appears to be smoke inhalation, police said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
