Grenade found in Town of Wallkill home
TOWN OF WALLKILL – A hand grenade and three handguns were found
in a home at 4 Grosvenor Mews in the Town of Wallkill.
The weapons were discovered by the resident of the home, who was going
through the property of a relative who had died. The resident called Wallkill
Town Police on Tuesday.
The residents and neighbors in adjoining homes were evacuated while a
bomb technician from the State Police removed the hand grenade from the
home.
Members of the Mechanicstown Fire Department responded and assisted Wallkill
Police.
