Fire causes extensive damage to Monsey house

MONSEY – Fire Monday caused serious damage to a house at 18 Calvert
Drive in Monsey. The blaze broke out around 10:30 a.m. with several fire
departments responding.
There were no injuries reported and the cause was determined to be accidental.

Ramapo Police detectives and the Rockland County Sheriff’s BCI were
on the scene to conduct an investigation. The Town of Ramapo fire and
building inspector also responded.
